With the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and to protect the health and safety of our attendees and exhibitors, the FLAG Works, Inc./North American Chemical Residue Workshop Board has decided to cancel the live, in-person 2020 North American Chemical Residue Workshop which was scheduled for July 26-29, 2020. 

We are deeply saddened to cancel the meeting, but one of the main reasons to NOT have the in-person event is because it would not be the same meeting since people would be ill at ease and this conference is all about the easy going atmosphere and networking that has defined NACRW since its inception 57 years ago. To this end, we feel that offering a virtual event would not be the same either, so we will plan to meet in person, July 25-28, 2021, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. We are considering offering webinars beginning in July and will provide more information shortly.

What the cancellation of the 2020 NACRW means:

· Refunds for Conference & Short Course Registration -NACRW will refund in full all paid registration fees for the conference and short course to date or provide the option to transfer the payment toward the NACRW 2021. An email will be sent to registered attendees to ask if they would prefer a full refund or option to transfer to 2021.
 

· Exhibitors and Sponsors - NACRW will refund in full all exhibit booth, vendor seminars, and sponsorship fees paid or provide the option to transfer the exhibit booth registration/payment and/or sponsorship toward the NACRW 2021. An email will be sent to all registered exhibitors and sponsors to ask if they would prefer a full refund or option to transfer to 2021.
 

· Abstracts - In light of the decision to cancel this year’s conference, no official decision on abstracts were made.   Please feel free to resubmit your abstract or submit an updated abstract when the system reopens in January 2021.
 

· Hotel Reservations
If you reserved a hotel guest room via the NACRW website or called the hotel and used the NACRW group code, your reservation will be automatically cancelled.  You will receive an email notification of the cancellation in the coming week or so. You will not be charged a penalty. Please do NOT contact the hotel.

If you reserved a guest room on your own (outside of the NACRW block), you must cancel your reservation directly with that hotel.

The North American Chemical Residue Workshop is closely monitoring the ongoing global Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as well as any announcements or directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.  At this time, we still plan on holding the 2020 conference.  

PLEASE NOTE that the abstract deadline for Oral Submissions has been extended until April 15, 2020.  

In the event of any changes affecting the NACRW 2020, we will announce them on the NACRW website and inform all registered participants in a timely manner.   If the conference needs to cancel, all registered attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors will receive A FULL REFUND or option to transfer the payment toward the NACRW 2021.

The North American Chemical Residue Workshop (NACRW), at this time, plans to hold the 2020 NACRW, July 26-29, 2020. 

We will continue to monitor the recommendations provided by the World Health Organization (WHO)  and  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding COVID-19/Coronavirus and will update accordingly.
